Echocall Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 30, 2026

In short: EchoCall stores everything only on your device. It has no internet connection, no cloud storage, no analytics, and no advertising. We never receive your data, so we have nothing to share, sell, or lose.

Information the App Handles

To provide its features, EchoCall works with the following information, entered directly by you or a caregiver:

- Names, phone numbers, and optional photos of trusted contacts

- A timestamped log of calls placed through the app

- A caregiver PIN, used to protect the settings screen

How This Information Is Stored

All of the information above is stored locally on your device, using Apple's standard on-device storage and Keychain services. Your caregiver PIN is never stored in plain, readable form — only a securely hashed version is kept, and the original PIN cannot be recovered from it.

EchoCall does not use the internet. It does not connect to any server, does not sync to any cloud service, and does not include any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking software of any kind.

How This Information Is Used

Your contact list, call log, and settings are used solely to provide the app's core functionality: displaying your trusted contacts, placing calls on your behalf, detecting repeated calls to the same contact, and protecting caregiver settings behind a PIN. This information is never used for any other purpose.

Sharing of Information

We do not share, sell, rent, or transmit your information to any third party — including us. Because EchoCall never sends any data off your device, there is nothing for us to access, collect, or disclose.

Photo Access

If you choose to add a photo for a contact, EchoCall requests access to your Photo Library solely so you can select that image. Selected photos are copied into the app's own local storage and are never transmitted anywhere.

Your Control Over Your Information

You can view, edit, or delete any contact or call log entry at any time from the app's caregiver settings screen. Deleting EchoCall from your device permanently and irreversibly deletes all associated data, including any data used by the EchoCall widget.

Children's Privacy

EchoCall is not directed at children and is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same address with a revised effective date.
